Paths to Awakening Consciousness

DAFNIS DA FONSECA

Based on the knowledge acquired through his academic, personal, and professional experiences, Dáfnis – together with his wife Adriana Braz – now uses Integrative Transpersonal Psychology as the foundation of his practice, Orienterapias. This approach employs the most important theoretical lines, viewing the human being in their biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions to provide truly holistic therapy. Thus, he conducts sessions and organizes lectures and courses, always aiming to provoke and facilitate the undoing of conditioning internalized by society – at all levels – which presents and shapes the world as we see it today. The fundamental goal in this path is the Awakening of Consciousness, which inevitably leads to prolonged well-being and a feeling of gratitude, belonging, and integration with the world around us.

TRAJECTORY

Having worked for many years in the business field and later in the information and communication sector due to her respective backgrounds in Engineering and Journalism, Dáfnis acquired,

Throughout this time, he accumulated a wealth of life experience that greatly aided his understanding of psychological concepts. Initially focused on rational and metaphysical conceptions of life, he gradually shifted his worldview as he explored areas of professional interest ranging from the exact sciences to the humanities and, finally, to health sciences. He never discarded the experiences stemming from his former perspective, but rather integrated them in search of a synthesis of what it means to be-in-the-world. From this increasingly holistic stance, he was naturally drawn to the study and research of ancient Eastern practices such as Yoga and its philosophy. In this pursuit, he also studied therapeutic techniques such as Reiki, the use of flower essences, the phenomenological view of illness from a psychosomatic perspective, and Tibetan Transpersonal Psychology, with its fundamental concepts of impermanence.

Among other things, her experience also includes participation in a pioneering project linked to the Brazilian judiciary, providing Social Psychology services to patients at the Family House, connected to the São Vicente/SP Forum; providing School Psychology services through the conception and execution of the Yoga in School project for students from 1st to 5th grade of Elementary School I at Colégio Stela Maris, in Santos/SP; providing Organizational and Work Psychology services conducting Organizational Diagnosis; and providing care to patients at the Unisantos Psychology Clinic.
