Ho'oponopono
Lecture
Ho'oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian meditation practice that involves releasing limiting memories and beliefs, promoting reconciliation, forgiveness, and the resolution of internal conflicts. It is a cleansing technique that has helped many people rid themselves of disturbing memories and problems that constantly recur in their minds.
HO'OPONOPONO: WHAT IS IT?
The word Ho'oponopono is formed by joining two parts. Ho'o means cause and ponopono means perfection. The combination of these two parts generates the following meaning: to correct a problem, to make right what is wrong.
Through the Ho'oponopono technique, you will be able to free your mind from unpleasant memories that insist on appearing (especially those that occur after stressful and disturbing situations) that prevent you from relaxing and finding peace. It is a mental cleansing process of what bothers you, makes you tense, and depresses you.
Dr. Ihaleakalá Hew Len is a facilitator and leading promoter of the Ho'oponopono technique. According to him, “I cleanse to be in the Presence of God. Once there, Divinity will give me everything that is perfect and right for me. I only know this. This is the Goal of my life. If I have any goal or objective, it is to be in the Presence of God.”

By cleansing these incessant bad memories, your mind will be free from conditioning and limiting beliefs. You will erase painful memories that cause so many illnesses and imbalances in your physical, mental, and emotional body. You will open a void within yourself. With a clean mind, thoughts of divine origin and inspiration will fill this void. And what needs to be done for this to happen? Cleanse, cleanse all these recurring and disturbing memories of daily life using 4 very simple phrases:
I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. I'm grateful.
These phrases are linked to the four jewels of Jesus, which guided his actions on Earth: Compassion, humility, love, and gratitude. Dr. Len says he tries to keep the phrase "Peace begins with me" in mind at all times, following the precepts of Ho'oponopono, but admits that it is sometimes not easy, that he still stumbles on thoughts that are not peaceful from time to time, but that it is a process of seeking perfection.
At first, the idea of responsibility and the obligation to answer for one's own actions may seem very rigid, but over time, you may be surprised by your level of independence and proactivity.
By abandoning the feeling of powerlessness linked to the idea that suffering is caused solely by external and uncontrollable factors, it is possible to transform your beliefs and avoid a victim mentality, thus increasing your sense of personal empowerment.
With the release of negative energies, emotional balance is favored, as the blocks to self-realization, happiness, and fulfillment disappear, opening space for new perceptions and inner peace.
Furthermore, the practitioner of ho'oponopono gains the freedom to not be obeyed by negative memories. This can transform them into a calmer person with a more positive attitude towards adversity and problems in their path.
