Psychoanalysis - In-person Clinical Training
Certified Open Course
THE Psychoanalysis was developed by Sigmund Freud in the late 19th century, aiming to understand and treat physical and emotional phenomena that could not be explained by medicine or other formal sciences. From a Freudian perspective, psychoanalysis is a form of investigation in which the analysand can come into contact with unconscious content and their psychic functioning.
Psychoanalysis continues to be a valuable tool for assisting work in other professional fields, as it provides a unique perspective on the psyche and human relationships.
According to Freud, many psychic processes originating in the human mind remain repressed in the unconscious, driven by libido—sexual desires.
Through the psychoanalytic method

It is possible for the individual to come into contact with unconscious experiences (such as slips of the tongue, symptoms, repetitions, jokes, compromise formations), thereby constructing another type of response to behaviors, situations, and events to which they are subjected without realizing that it relates to their history and unconscious productions. In this way, the professional can intervene, assisting in this process, aiming for a life less dominated by a neurotic and suffering dynamic, creating openings for a more authentic experience of being in the world.
Target Audience: Students and professionals in the health field and therapists in general, as well as people from any area interested in learning more about the workings of the psyche, understanding the construction and development of the notion of the unconscious to use in their self-knowledge or to professionally assist others in this discovery, CONDUCTING IN- PERSON or ONLINE SESSIONS. No prior knowledge of Psychoanalysis is necessary.
Course content : In-depth study of Freudian theory and fundamental texts by Freud. Theories from other authors such as Jacques Lacan, Melanie Klein, and Donald Winnicott are also explored to present theoretical and clinical possibilities for future psychoanalysts. Following the theoretical training, we offer clinical supervision with an emphasis on practice.
CERTIFICATE:
- Certificate of CLINICAL PSYCHOANALYTIC PRACTICE (to conduct consultations) (460 hours): respecting the three pillars of Psychoanalysis (Theory, Personal Analysis and Supervision), it will be awarded to those who have completed the theoretical course (240 hours), completed 100 hours of personal analysis and completed the supervised internship in the 3rd year (120 hours).
Psychoanalytic Theory: 240 hours (1st and 2nd years of the course).
Personal Assessment: minimum of 100 hours proven by a written statement from the professional (which the student may have already completed or must complete independently in parallel with the course to be eligible for the 3rd year related to the supervised internship).
Supervised group internship: 120 hours (3rd year of the course)
Upon completing the course, you will be a Psychoanalyst, able to provide in-person or online client services, and you will have already had clients during your internship period.
Student support before and after training:
Personal Analysis: Although students may undergo analysis with a psychoanalyst of their choice, in order to facilitate access to analysis for the required 100 hours, the school also offers sessions with graduating students at social rates under the supervision of the psychoanalyst teaching the course.
During the 3rd year , which will be conducted online, students will already be providing services to clients they acquire, and may receive payment for these services. Class days will be dedicated to supervising these services. To assist in attracting clients, we also advertise on our social media the Social Clinic, which offers services at lower rates, helping students gain valuable experience for supervision. Services can be provided online or in person at locations chosen by the students; however, subject to availability, they may use our space for a symbolic cost by appointment. Nevertheless, during this important internship period, we encourage students to also seek out places to practice social services, even if free, to enrich their learning. The key during this period is to bring questions from the services to supervision, thus completing the psychoanalytic tripod that forms the basis of the course: Theory, Personal Analysis, and Supervision.
After completing their training , students receive support from the school, where, by appointment, they can offer their services as professionals, contributing only 30% of the value of their services. In this way, the newly graduated student will not need to invest resources in monthly office rental or setting up a practice, thus guaranteeing only profits and avoiding unnecessary expenses at the beginning of their career.
